Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is a first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward and published by Activision. As the direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the game continues its intense military storyline with new characters, locations, weapons, and large-scale missions.

The story follows Task Force 141 as a new global conflict emerges following the rise of Vladimir Makarov. Players take part in dangerous operations across multiple locations while experiencing the story through characters including Gary “Roach” Sanderson and John “Soap” MacTavish.

Modern Warfare 2 combines cinematic missions with fast-paced gunfights, modern weapons, vehicle sequences, and memorable set pieces. The game also features Special Ops, offering additional missions separate from the main campaign.
